DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. It’s a diet developed specifically to reduce blood pressure in those with hypertension. It reduces cholesterol, prevents stroke and heart failure, and brings the weight down to a healthy level, even for those with obesity. Plus, it’s considered the best diet to prevent diabetes.     This diet is good for maybe not gaining weight, but not the best for losing weight. Once you are at your desired weight then this can be followed. Till then, Intermittent fasting is so much better.

    This may be a great diet, but I don’t agree with the reduced salt, Of course regular salt is bad for you as it has the iodine removed. Iodine is plentiful along with over 90 other trace minerals in Pink Sea salt. If anybody cares to do the research, Iodine is needed for proper thyroid operation. The minimum daily requirement for sodium is 1500 mg which is less than 1 tsp. At least 13 million Americans suffer from a thyroid problem because Doctors say to give up the salt. So do a little research and see if I’m right.

    What I can tell is that the "intermittent fasting" is working for sure. I tried it myself…. This one is tooooooo complicated! They say "no counting" but there is A LOT OF COUNTING involved from what I saw…..
