What does a Hamster who has had a stroke look like

Yeah, it was a change in plans. I was going to do something on potty training, but then I realized that Kayla had a stroke. I thought people might want to know what is wrong with their hamster if they see this. You can see what I mean with her back legs and how they didn’t work. She almost looked like a fish, because of brain damage from the strokes/major stroke. She couldn’t drink or eat because of missing that skill from brain damage. On Saturday she was perfectly fine. I discovered her the next day at around 3pm and of course being the weekend… my vets close on the weekends. I made an appointment for her Monday last week. Hamsters that get this kind of stroke you can’t really help. If it was a minor stroke they might have been able to recover with a little help with water and food being handed to them so they could grab and eat it or lick it up. However when they are like this you can’t really give them water or food because it could kill them from aspirating it, or the stroke activity could possibly even affect their swallowing so that they choke to death.

My hamster sumatra is doing this rn we are waiting to see if she might recover or else we just let her die on her own. Every time I go to pick her up she bites me so we knowledge she is sick with a stroke.

I don’t put pets down, it’s cruel and expensive. Let them die naturally, but it’s your opinion though.

Stroke you mean. But I’m so sos so sorry about that I have lost many pets before I just lost one. But a human way of putting a rodent to slope take a cooler and put dry ice on one side and wrap the rodent up and put them in there and the fog of the dry ice makes them sleepy and they pass away peacefully. But I did sub to your channel 🙂
