Instead of saying ablation is not a cure perhaps she should say ablation is not a cure for every patient. She says some patients have a reduction of afib down to 0 and has had patients whom she has done ablations on as far back as 10-12 years back who are not having afib… well then this clearly sounds like a cure for some patients.

Fascinating! I have Brugada Syndrome, and a corresponding ICD (actually my third one since diagnosed at age 44). Now I have A-fib, SVT, et al, and my general cardiologist and EP have recommended catheter ablation. I’m scheduled in three days. Yes, I’m overweight, but not morbidly — BMI is 31. I hope I haven’t jumped the gun on this procedure, but the physicians have counseled that AF will not get better, and can cause chamber enlargement. My last echo showed a 30% enlargement in one of the atrial chambers. I feel like it’s the only reasonable path forward, but who knows.

    Mindblowing and fantabulous presentation
The risk factors of AF I could not understand how it relates with Pneumonia, Bronchitis and UTI?

An ablation could work on the first onset of atrail fib not 20 years later

Good lecture. I am a 64 y.o. athlete who still competes in bicycle racing who has had incidences of Afib. My channel chronicles my training and racing with Afib and the steps I have taken. Please give it a look.
