Naked in the snow generally happens when the sun is too weak to produce vitamin d.

  2. JnTmarie on February 7, 2021 at 8:14 pm

I had cancer not spending time in the sun! Crazy. Can you have Dr Gregor on your Show? Discuss plant based diet. Love the unexpected emphasis on words Tom lol thanks for the interviews

The out of Africa theory has been completely debunked. The cro-magnon man had a chin because they had developed agriculture vs the ‘hunter gatherers’ and the average age for cave men was 25 to 30 years old. Man is an adaptive species and eating like a caveman isn’t necessarily the best idea. Plus apes have intestines the most similar to humans and eat mainly plants and fruits. I don’t subscribe to the evolution nonsense but I see that many powerful animals like great apes and bears are omnivores.

He forgott to say that you dont want high LDL kolesterol that comes from what you eat you want high HDL colesrerol that is kind off mossleading that hd dident say it, now people mayne will go and stiff there bodys with bad animal colesterol.

  6. tikunani on February 7, 2021 at 8:18 pm

That’s if you buy into the whole good cholesterol/bad cholesterol paradigm

  7. Hanna Watts on February 7, 2021 at 8:20 pm

You touched on Bob Harper and from my understanding this was a genetic predisposition. Is this not true anymore? Heart issues run in my husbands side of the family and it’s a constant worry that he is genetically predisposed. I understand the environment and life choices impact that but is it not also true that genetics do?

  8. V C on February 7, 2021 at 8:21 pm

Great interview as always but one important variable in health and longevity that the cardiologist left out is healthy relationships. Most research studies reflect that having a sense of community and gratifying relationships is the most important factor in health. Having a sense of purpose is pretty important too.

  9. dinoatcharterdotnet on February 7, 2021 at 8:22 pm

I have a habit of eating unhealthy foods and my blood pressure is high. Could that be why?

  10. AL Estrada on February 7, 2021 at 8:23 pm

Our ancestors may have eaten more organic but life expectancy was much shorter.

  11. huriye kantar on February 7, 2021 at 8:24 pm

As a doctor, he should know that genetics plays a huge role in health too. I don’t have all these health issues because of eating badly, I was literally born with it and it’s worsened over time.

Dear Tom, If I were you, I would consider to drink coffee (not decaffeinated!) here and there, because of the studies that had been shown that coffee drinkers are more protect to Alzheimer and Parkinson’s diseases. Take care!

Atrial Fibrillation is caused by inflamation? Hhmmm. I think you may find that a lot of AFib is caused by back issues. The nerves that supply your heart come out from the spinal area. These nerves can get slightly pinched and cause a misfire. People can get AFib when sitting in certain positions. Aside from that, a LOT of health issues stem from insulin issues – the heart included. Remove processed sugar from your diet and practice intermittent fasting. You can get rid of insulin resistance, most diseases, totally control your weight effortlessly. All of this is very hard to do while you have too much insulin.

  23. Radhika Mani on February 7, 2021 at 8:37 pm

Everything is a fad diet but paleo/eating like ancestors ate. Moments later: "eat a cupcake if it’s organic." – ok. Veganism is not a fad. All the blue zones are populations which eat very little animal products. These areas have been studied for decades.

Omg 😳/ thank you ☺️ so much for bringing up noise pollution aspect. I lived by airport ✈️/ it was so loud & caused me major stress , & lack of sleep 😴 also.
Once I moved to more quiet apt I’m way less stressed & sleeping really well & psychologically happier/ peace.

Dr. Jack Wolfson is 50 years old in 2020. As you can see , he is NOT looking remotely healthy.
He looks prematurely old. The last of his hair is white. But what I want to talk about is the body of a hunter (the bow , and all , including a violent death ) found after some 45 000 years in Andies . He lived in the time when everything in the nature was pristine ; air , water , grains
( he had some of it in his traveler’s pouch ). He was around 40 years of age. His arteries though were these of a man twice his age. Full of plaque. Go , figure.

This is stupid people who use the argument of our ancestors did this or that , lets remember our ancestors average life span was between 30 and 40 years !!!!! we live much longer lives now

  32. Gerald's Videos on February 7, 2021 at 8:50 pm

    Thanks for this.

  33. Janie Miller on February 7, 2021 at 8:50 pm

Even if paleo with “ meat 🥩 “- as he stated organic & grass fed / non hormones etc is key!

  34. amany abouzeid on February 7, 2021 at 8:52 pm

I really like your programmes Tim but I have not heard A SINGLE healthy sentence in this one. This is obsessive, super self indulgent & totally disconnected to how most people live or would want to live actually

  35. Sean Michaels on February 7, 2021 at 8:52 pm

Noise pollution was cited by Prof. Christian Barnard(first heart transplant). To avoid food pollution buy organic from Wholefoods & if in the UK buy Duchy Veg from Waitrose(grown to Prince Charles standards). Fructose turns into the worst kind of fat, it’s impossible to shift & it causes insulin resistance & hence Type 2 Diabetes. Also, why have olive oil when you should be having olives? Keto is only good short term Atkins(cardiologist) only intended it for the short term to mimic fasting. Fasting is far superior to Keto & far more beneficial. Better to be doing resistance training with a high protein diet because muscle burns off excess glucose & aid fat oxidation.
NASA recommends 10 plants to keep indoors to cut out pollutants. Spider plant & Lilly among others.

  36. Belinda Lang on February 7, 2021 at 8:55 pm

NOT true – there is wheat in the pyramids….so yeah – our ancestors ate WHEAT….just not the GMO wheat we now consume. Wheat was the first GMO food they never advertised….

  39. Demy on February 7, 2021 at 8:59 pm

Maybe our ancestors were not eating all these things we are eating now but the average life expectancy was up to 40s not up to 80s .As far as moving to the sunny places is he for real? Can Canadians or Northern Europeans move south? I’m very disappointed with things he says plain stu$id.

  40. John Shalvey on February 7, 2021 at 9:00 pm

"High Interval Training"? LOL. Maybe if he did High Intensity Training he would not forget what it was called!

i’ve seen people who spend a lot of time in sun and they look like leather or they are covered in sun spots, unless they are very dark skinned! Thats why uk people have such good skin, not much sun! instincually i would never eat meat, humans aren’t meant to eat meat, our teeth are wrong for it, thats why tigers, cats, dogs have sharp teeth to rip into the meat! i agree about noise and stress!

  45. SaltyTaggart on February 7, 2021 at 9:02 pm

Coming back after a year, just thinking about how finding somebody to help when you are in need yourself. Making sacrifices to love and to give to others when you have needs for yourself
Encouraging That person who is discouraged, feeding somebody who is hungry, helping somebody else fulfill their dreams when you’re praying for your own.
Investing in young people and teaching them the wisdom that cost you decades of your life to learn.
These are God’s laws of reciprocals.
But there’s something about helping others that does something for the soul that cannot be bought nor explained.
