The road to a heart transplant| grinding all my life| HCM| heart disease

My name is Joseph Cota and ever since I can remember have lived with HCM. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a heart disease that affects one in five hundred people. At age nine I had a cardiac myomectomy surgery performed by Teodori Michael, MD. As most diagnoses are made in middle age adults, a large percentage of HCM patients go undiagnosed leaving the disease to be found after sudden death or in end stage heart failure. As of 12/20/20, I have received a cardiac ablation to treat tachycardia (age 29), an ICD defibrillator (age 29), two cardiac ablations to treat atrial flutter (age 30), all of which were performed at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ. Now at age 31 I am experiencing heart failure at a rapid pace and I am currently awaiting a transplant approval. This channel is to inform, support, inspire, motivate and bring awareness to heart diseases of all kinds. Please subscribe and follow my journey. @Hcm_futw89
