In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the best diet for heart disease and the several causes of heart attack.

Causes of Heart Attack:
1. Clogged Coronary Artery – It abstracts the blood flow to the heart muscle.
There is always some type of damage or inflammation beforehand happening in the wall of the coronary artery – then the body starts accumulating cholesterol, protein and calcium as a Band-Aid which causes to start developing plaques, clot and if it became big enough, it can either dislodge or stop the flow of the artery which couldn’t supply oxygen to the muscle tissue.
The cause of inflammation is high levels of insulin and low nutrients.

2. Arrhythmia – problem with the pacemaker, the rhythm of the heart is off and blood can pull in different parts of the heart which could develop a clot and the clot could spread and clog an artery.
Potassium and magnesium are the nutrients that control the rhythm of the heart.

3. Heart Muscle (Muscle Cramps) – vitamin E has a very specific purpose of increasing oxygen in the heart muscle. But if you are low in vitamin E, the heart has to work harder and it will have a tendency to cramp up that could lead to angina and heart attack.

  3. Shaun Ali on October 5, 2021 at 8:03 am

You’re awesome but I’m highly stressed because your shipping fee on your products are too high … before I resort to 7-10 cups of veggies daily I need to save money on your shipping cost …and hopefully my stress level goes down In turn unclog my arteries.

Have a great day Dr Berg.

This video is about “ good food for people with heart disease like: bypass, angioplasty, atrial fibrillation, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, clogged artery, calcification artery, and so on…

But nobody say that Keto diet has helped someone with bypass or angioplasty , replacing the statins with Keto Diet. No One !!!

But many boast that the Keto diet helped them lose weight .

I would like to see someone who replaced statins with keto

My GP has called me to discuss my blood results as initially I was told my cholesterol was too high. I explained that I’m doing the Keto diet and my triglycerides are normal 1.4. She’s told me to carry on!! I would have carried on but it’s good we’re on the same page for once!

It’s 2021 and my doctor is still recommending the old food pyramid with a lot of grains, low fat, etc. Why is the medical establishment so far behind? Thanks to Dr Berg for spreading the truth.

Hello Dr. Berg. Is refined flour of all grains bad? Or just that of wheat? Is it okay to make bread from refined flour from sorghum, millets and grams?

  29. Corinne Yaworski on October 5, 2021 at 8:33 am

Love you! Someone reccomended that I listen to you. I lost 50 pounds on the Keto diet. I’m 65 now. What a blessing you are. I do still need help with microvascular angina. Docs put me on Procardia. Side effects. I think I’m retaining water. Do you have any suggestions on treating MVD with some supplements. I’m also on Plavix and Fenofibrate. Thank you

  31. Muhammad Amdad on October 5, 2021 at 8:36 am

Though your videos helped me lots of time but one thing i don’t like about you, and that’s you end it up by saying that ketogenic diet is a shortcut of everything. But we all know keto is a dirty and unscientific diet. Thanks for helping us by making useful videos.

Dear Dr. Berg , please share how we can reduce Cardio CRP?

  39. axelfoley20 on October 5, 2021 at 8:45 am

But how do you get these vitamins and minerals from the vegetables when they are trapped in the fiber? I guess a juicing of the vegetables would help but vegetables are indigestible and we do not have the proper stomach to digest and get anything from vegetables. We’re not herbivores. We are carnivores so eating meat, especially raw, is the best diet overall.

  40. Paul McCune on October 5, 2021 at 8:45 am

  44. Merilyn Mccllelland on October 5, 2021 at 8:51 am

So confusing with all these vitamins-

  45. Nabeel27 on October 5, 2021 at 8:53 am

Fibre in whole grains controls insulin spikes though. So it’s far better than refined? Lots of fibre so must be whole grain.

  46. A 7 C on October 5, 2021 at 8:53 am

Man… even just straight up living is a struggle

  47. Igor Gruppman on October 5, 2021 at 8:53 am

If we don’t eat grains at all than how do we get a vitamin E in a natural form? If we are not necessarily trying to loose weight, can’t we cook whole grains with the skin (such as perhaps black and wilde rice, non refined, or the whole grain with skin non GMO wheat ) and eat it in minimal amounts, just so we allow some natural intake of B and E vitamins ?

  48. Nietzsches Muse on October 5, 2021 at 8:55 am

You are an excellent physiology nutrition professor.

  49. TheRealDeal on October 5, 2021 at 8:56 am

Looking at clots, I don’t know what rate our bodies can dissolve them. They can grow massive. – What’s the most aggressive way to naturally dissolve them? Are there any studies on that?

  50. nobackdown on October 5, 2021 at 8:57 am

Dr Berg, so happy that you exist. Every time I learn from you. Thank you
