Resin Experiment: Glow In The Dark Powder on Awareness Moulds

Hi Everyone. This resin experiment looks to see if you can paint glow in the dark powder on Awareness moulds in the same way that you can with mica powder? I like to try these things out so you can see if they work. Resin experiments are great fun for me to do, so if you have any you want me to test then please let me know in the comments below. I was surprised how these glow in the dark powders on moulds came out.

Brilliant again. I watched your food colouring powders as well. Would concentrated food colouring work as well. Thank you.

I’ve got a silicone tray of awareness ribbons. I’ve only made pink for breast cancer, but you’ve given me yet more inspiration!

I’ve tried a lot of glow in the dark stuff. But these are really pretty.. One question I’ve wanted to ask is.. Can you mix resin and gallium? Wanted to make resin with a mirror like portion..

  11. Terri Reid on November 9, 2021 at 10:25 am

I have just started playing with resin and made some of these yesterday. I added mica powder to one. I used the same little brush that you used. I didn’t put any in the other 3 I made because I was afraid of scratches in my moulds. I also put ribbon glitter in for the awareness colors. My resin was clear. They came out well when I de-moulded them this morning.
All this to ask….how did you get so much color and not scratch the mould? I’m trying to learn. πŸ˜ŠπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Hey wanted to bug you again I’m not sure if you have done a video on a mini terrarium yet. I would like to make a mini Dino forest but not sure what to use as dirt besides pebbels

Did you have to charge these powders with uv or sunlight to make them glow? The stuff I have requires it, and it’s frustrating.

  15. Roxie Miller on November 9, 2021 at 10:30 am

Love your experiments! Could you tell me, what mold release spray do you use?

  16. Dolly Brown on November 9, 2021 at 10:32 am

Very pretty… Though I wasn’t as impressed when the lights went down. The colors didn’t show up as well as I expected them to….. Maybe if you went over them with mica powder like you did with the red??

  17. Dawn R on November 9, 2021 at 10:35 am

I have some g.i.d. and love them! I support LGBTQ+ community and I love rainbows very cool!

  18. Maranda Zilk on November 9, 2021 at 10:35 am

Could you please teach us how to keep downey craft feathers fluffy but not floating? I need help. Any suggestions would be great. I don’t have much resin left.

I’ve been using some glow in the dark powders. Basically, the orange, yellow, green and purple all glow a yellowy green color. If you use enough powder, the red glows bright pink. Blue is the only color that glows its own expected color and it really is a brilliant blue!

I did a make up tray for my daughter and used the blue glow powder swirled into a clear resin and finished it with a swirl of regular pirple acrylic. In the light you only see the purple and a bit of clear, but when the lights go off it is very very bright blue

Have I ever told you that I love key rings? Might have to add these to my wish list along with the refillable resin pens you made! πŸ˜‰

I have those and I’m not the biggest fan they are so gritty

  24. Amanda Lee Borchert on November 9, 2021 at 10:43 am

They look amazing!!πŸ€‘πŸ€‘πŸ€‘They would be perfect to find your keys in the dark!!πŸ”‘πŸ”‘πŸ”‘Or keep track of your kid…..just joking!!🀣🀣🀣 Definitely would love to see more glow in the dark powder ideas!!πŸ§ͺπŸ§ͺπŸ§ͺ

  25. Denise11Schultz on November 9, 2021 at 10:43 am

Love these. I wonder if the white glow powder inside the resin is brighter than the colored glows you painted on? Maybe you could experiment to see if the rainbow glows are more distinct without the white.
That white glow powder may go well with your wedding dress and white rose mould. It is much brighter than I expected. Really fun video, TY.

  26. LostInOz on November 9, 2021 at 10:45 am

Great idea for a keyring, being they’re glow in the dark πŸ˜‰
    Tfs & take care πŸ¦‰πŸŽ¨

Perfect timing!! I’m getting glow in the dark powders tomorrow from Amazon. I’ve just become a member to your channel. I watch quite a few artist channels but yours I find is such a step above. Thank you for all you do and can’t wait for the perks!

  28. Brandie Kee on November 9, 2021 at 10:49 am

I love using glow n the dark! It’s just fun, like glitter πŸ’œ

  29. Heather Pence on November 9, 2021 at 10:52 am

I wonder if you mixed glow in the dark powder with the same color mica…. would it glow? Then you could have bolder colors when the lights are on. And still have glow in the dark effects.

  30. Annabelle on November 9, 2021 at 10:53 am

I love using glow in the dark powder! Whenever I get a request for a box or clock or platter people will say to me…and no glow in the dark! Glitter is ok. 🀣🀣🀣🀣

I follow several kids with cancer, rare disorders, and people dealing with other things like cerebal palsy. They’re all darling and it was fun this month watching them take their days and celebrate diversity!
