Rehabilitation After Stroke: Speech Therapy
Rehabilitation After Stroke: Speech Therapy
After a stroke, it is common for people to have cognitive difficulties, including changes in attention/concentration, short-term memory, problem-solving, planning/organization skills and reasoning skills.
The patient in this video, Joe, is completing a course of speech therapy to improve these skills.

How do these therapies actually affect the speech?
I experienced it. So very hard to go back to where i start. Like speech problem and my mind is slow thinking. I cant use my right body . I had a severe sick(brain aneurysm) . Im 16 yrs.old. 😊
I have been having input from Mrs Van Gran, Mrs Rochester, Miss Jackson, Vanessa in form of individual clinical sessions, therapy night’s, girl’s group, knitt and chat, sensory diet, eating group to help with dysphagia, oromoter exercises.
I need that.
Thanks very much for this informative video. I would like to share it with friends and colleagues who have hearing or auditory processing difficulties, but the automatic captions are inaccurate in many places. ("I speak fine" was translated as "decline", etc.) Can you correct the autocaptions? If you need help with this process, the CCACaptioning website has Do It Yourself instructions or someone with CaptionMatch might be able to help you. Best regards, Judy Bailey, Centreville, Virginia

Speech therapist from Pakistan
I had a stroke since August 2014, and have been seeking for the 100% perfect and “con-free” cure so I can finally get back on my feet, the last 4 years I could’ve lived without that embarrassing after effects of "stroke" ruining everything for me. It has been a pain in the neck for 4 years of my life and I’ve had it! I was sick and tired of doing the same thing over and over again to keep me alive and as far away as I can be from falling off the cliff of death. Well all of that seems to be thing of the past now. I’m so excited about the herbal formula for a complete recovery that Dr Kpomosa introduced 2 years ago, it like a miracle to me, after using Dr Kpomosa herbal formula for 3 months, I can finally go back to being a normal human being again at last!, i believe so many people out there need help to get there mobility and there life back after Stroke. For help visit Dr kpomosa FB page. "Dr Kpomosa home of relief" he has all the information and solution to get rid of the after effects of having a stroke.
