Rehabilitation After Stroke: Kinesio Taping

Rehabilitation After Stroke: Kinesio Taping

Kinesio Taping has many potentially therapeutic benefits when used along with other therapies. This video shows a clinical application of kinesio taping to the hand following a stroke. Kinesio taping can be used to assist a motion and provide sensory input. It also is used to minimize edema by reducing pressure and lifting the skin, allowing fluid to move towards the lymphatic system.

dear colleagues, wonderful video, thanks for this. Do wonder about the application. Why did you chose to anchor the tapes (giving sensory info on the flexor sides)?  Esther de Ru physiotherapist
