Atlanta Medical Center’s stroke program is recognized by the Joint Commission as a Primary Certified Stroke Center – which means it adheres to a very high set of standards for providing time critical stroke care for patients. AMC has a dedicated “stroke bay” , which iincludes a dedicated room of stroke specific equipment and therapies. AMC also has a stroke team, comprised of specialists who are trained in providing world class stroke care.
