Plant-strong & healthy living: Rip Esselstyn at TEDxFremont

Plant-strong & healthy living: Rip Esselstyn at TEDxFremont Rip Esselstyn, a former firefighter and author of The Engine 2 Diet, advocates a plant-strong diet to combat chronic diseases. Esselstyn inspired his fellow firefighting crew at the Austin Engine 2 station to follow a plant-based diet and dramatically heal their health. In 2012, Engine 2 and Whole Foods Market unveiled the Engine 2 food line.

    Plant-strong? Yeah. Nah. That’s plant-wrong.

Veganism is unravelling quickly. 3% of the population can continue this diet for more than 12 months without serious side effects. It’s a nutrient deficient diet.

It’s easy when it’s not your home; easy when it’s not your life. The place where you sleep, your kids, your wife. But when it’s your fault it shouldn’t be so easy to sleep at night. Especially when we know where you live. Barry Redmond, CEO of Lorex Oil, 2641 River Rock Road, East Hampton. You dumped fifteen million barrels of crude into the Atlantic. We don’t care how rich you are. We want all those who are guilty to experience the terror of their crimes, because it shouldn’t be so easy to get away with murder. Lie to us, we’ll lie to you. Spy on us, we’ll spy on you. Poison our habitat, we’ll poison yours. We are The East, and this is just the beginning.

I thought the cholesterol in eggs is the good type?

  49. Black Mullet on September 5, 2021 at 10:08 pm

It is a pretty uninformative and generic video, plant based food is good if the plants are pure, and meat is good if it is purely fed too, it’s about balancing them, not stopping eating them. Meat WON’T clog your arteries or spike your cholesterol, or give you muscle or anything. This all is a result of your body reacting to what your behavioral pattern is.

In general, the further your eating habits are from our predecessors (2,500,000-12,000 years ago, that’s when agriculture became a thing) the more your body won’t know what to do with this behavior and start acting up. Also, toxins and GMO are the worst things, eating GMO plants is actually very risky because of enzymes that cut a certain DNA sequence in order to make a GMO, and they sometimes are still active and in our body, which means that they may go into our own DNA and start cutting the same sequences, because that’s their job. These are not live animals, these are enzymes like EcoR1 that are mostly ribonucleotides (the building blocks of DNA and RNA) so you can’t really "kill" them once they are inside.

Toxis are certain substances that your body doesn’t need for example mercury, which is found in salmon, is a poison to your body, and it may even result to brain damage and that’s where the impression that salmon is bad for pregnant women came from, because mercury even messes up the fetus brain growth.
