Mini Stroke- Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
Mini Stroke- Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
Dr. Fritz Schmutz, MD, Interventional Radiologist practicing at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, talks about mini strokes, also known as transient ischemic attacks (TIA). Mini strokes are warning signs of a full-blown stroke event and a patient should immediately go to a Primary Stroke Center to be evaluated by stroke specialists.

i got them too did not know what they where and it was to late to do something about it
I think i had something like that today at school. In my Woodwork the teacher was showing us how to do something then suddenly I started to not being able to see very well out of my eyes and my hearing was like i was almost underwater. I sweated so much and it almost felt cold. I also felt very very dizzy and almost falling over then about 2 min my eye sight started to go back to normal and my hearing as well. I really didn’t like this at all because It was so hard to tell what was going on around me and what i was doing.
Can untreated Graves’ disease cause mini stroke ? Or too much antthyroid mediation ?i was diagnosed Graves’ disease 2008 and used 10 years antithyroid medication (PTU 300 mg ) everyday
What is care after the mini stroke ?
Can you have a stroke without it being seen on a CT or MRI scan?
I am 25 and I experienced tingling a numbness starting from my eye and then it trickled down the right side of my body. I was at work and am already a pretty nervous person and lock in on things when they don’t seem right. The paramedic was called they did a little evaluation everything was normal. I opted to have my husband come pick me up and take me to the hospital. I got there and things moved very fast. I was administered a medication called TPA which is a clot busting blood thinning medication. I had a catscan prior to the medication. I was in ICU for 24 hours after was given the medicine due to the possibility of internal bleeding. The MRI did not take place until 24 hours after as well. When the results came back they were negative for signs of a stroke. I was then transferred to a regular room. I had a physical therapist and a occupational therapist visit me to work on the right side strength. The part that oil led me is that on my paper work it mentions nothing of a stroke or possibility there of. They labeled it as a Conversion Disorder and ordered me to go back to work the Tuesday after the incident occured. Which was Thursday. I was baffled my right side still felt like it was full of water. I would have felt better if they would have at least put on the paper work that I was treated for a stroke and not like it never happened or I never received this potentially life threatening medication.
Hi. right now I feel weird. Due to falling on ice I think my nerves in my back of the head got stuck between my spine. because of that my left hand numb and painful. when I fall i went to hospital but they said I am fine I don’t need to have a x-ray. so right now my lower lip kind a strange . I hope I am not have any stroke. but Tuesday I have an appointment with my family doctor. coz the walk in clinic doctor as well did not give me a referral for an x-ray.
All I remember was feeling dizzy and having trouble standing as if I was completely drunk which I have never done and the last thing I remember was collapsing in the door, crawling to my bad (no neasea) and then looking in the mirror to see myself dripping with sweat. I’m scared.
I’m 27 and had a mri and it shows I had one but I don’t remember having any of these symptoms is this normal? ?
Not sure if I had/have one. Was walking and my legs were too tired to walk and my vision has more floaters than normal. Legs are still numb. Might not be because Tia only affects one half of body? Mine is both legs.
1. Anxiety washes over my body, and I have an increasing heartrate
2. My vision goes dark (almost like when you go out into the sunlight for a few hours and walk back inside with dark color pallets)
3. Shortness of breath
*1-3 lasts for about 5 seconds or so and then symptom 4 takes effect once its run its course for another 5 or so seconds*
4. My body starts shaking uncontrollably almost as if I’m having a seizure, my arms and hands shake, legs, and even my neck. I can’t see anything as a result of the progression of the first 3 symptoms.
5. I snap out of it and am completely disoriented, all symptoms subside, and I am completely confused. After a couple seconds I gradually come to my senses.
This all happens as a result of something triggering some kind of anxiety. Does anyone know whats going on here? Its only happened a handful of times over the last 3 years but Its honestly the scariest thing thats ever happened to me each time…
I have being told by my farther and a Asparagus Specialist a possibility that they believe may have happened to me about 4 years ago. I did report it, but doctors laughed at me. I had the most worst pain in my head and alot of my natural ability’s have being stopped. I was never tested for any problems, and believe in what i have being told. As to get a MRI to identify any damage, or anything that maybe connected to my past event. As far as i know, my blood to me seems thick. Back then i do not remember. During the years, i have felt like i lost more and more of my mind. But i am unsure if its true or not. My basic evaluation showed that i could focus on one object but be looking at another region without moving my eyes, as to prove something. I have lost the ability to absorb information, which makes learning VERY HARD! I have lost the ability to be alike a human calculator as well as picture images in my mind clearly.
I had mini stroke about 3 years ago right after I drank an energy drink can with cigarette but doctors didn’t diagnosed it. I was just prescribed with b.p control medicines

for me, my vision goes dark and blurry in the left eye, then the left arm goes numb, then vomiting, then loss of comprehension with memory loss. this would be over a period of 5 or 6 hours. after this cleared, I would have a sloshy ache in my head for a day or two. these began at age 12 with about one or two each year for several years. then I had several years of none. then I would have one every few years. I am 55 now and it has been many years since I have had one. I am not on any medication for heart or blood pressure. good health otherwise. thanks.

Hi TinyLuvsBostons – You asked me a question on my channel, but I couldn’t find it in order to reply. The answer to your question is R.M. Jensen & Associates. They’re out of Utah. Best wishes.
I need to look more into this. I have had attacks since 1992. The doctors (Navy & VA) first thought I was having a stroke… then said it was a migraine. An answer that never felt right to me…
I have been having prolonged problem w like stuttering, or slurred speech, or i get tired when i have to say something complex, or its like my nerves are shot.
