Leah's Story – Spinal Cord Stroke – Children's Specialized Hospital

An outstanding softball player known for her infectious smile and tenacity on the field, nine-year-old Leah was playing with her sister when she began to experience tingling in her fingers. Rushed to the emergency room, she was later diagnosed with a very rare spinal cord stroke. Only 2% of all strokes originate in the spinal cord and they are almost unheard of in young, healthy children.

I am a 52 year old female who experienced a collapsed lung out of the blue. One morning nobody was home at the time and I wasn’t quite sure what had happened. I was healthy as far as I knew. I drove myself to the hospital to find out I had a collapsed lung. So I was sent to emergency surgery, went home 5 days later perfectly fine. 1 week later it happened again same procedure done but this time did a cat scan and found a nodule that ended up being cancer. A 9 hour surgery took place a few days later, called a lobectomy since then I have noticed my breathing has been different when I take in a breath I hear like an air leak this continued for almost 1 year and 4 months…Ever since then my life was miserable and living hell for me until I met one of my old time high school friend ANITA who is a survival, who introduced me to a pythotheraphist "Dr Harvey". To God alone I give all the glory and am for ever greatful to Dr Harvey for being a hand of God in my Life. I want people to think back to Natural herbs, that’s why am sharing this, i believe God has hidden the solutions to all sickness and diseases in Natural herbs and root that we don’t pay much attention to. I’m a living testimony of Natural herbs and root. If you or a loved one is going through a deadly diseases that seems impossible to cure totally, believe me root and herbs is the Solution. You can on his Facebook page "Dr Harvey" for all in need of a permanent cure to stroke or any other Chronic disease. You can contact Dr Harvey via whatsapp

Please explain what a spinal cord stroke is. This is a very similar to my own experience. It wasn’t as difficult as this in a complete collapse but close. Thank you for sharing.

So glad she’s okay. I just saw a video of a girl with a terminal muscular illness saying she would rather die at home than in the hospital, where she had spent most of her life. Afterwards, I saw a video of a girl with end stage brain cancer die in her mom’s arms. So glad to see a story with a happy ending. And this is NOT an ending – this girl is still alive and getting back to normal.

Isnt spinal cord strokes. One of the rarest strokes of all, and most result in death? I’m so sorry for this little girl, and her family! I wonder what the prognosis in 2020? Is there more hope today for full recovery? I’m not trying to cause anyone pain, it’s just I lost my best friend to this back in 2005.

Gosh I thought my wife was young having a stroke at 28 which has left her hemiparuplegic. I think Leah is every bit as beautiful and strong as my wife. Nothing is beyond your daughter given time and the support she asks for. My wife can even thread a needle, try doing that one handed. Leah will grow up stronger than most around her with true empathy and understanding of the difficulties others have. Numerous times a day she will make you proud and you’ll find yourself watching her in awe. I wish your entire family the most amazing future.
