Stroke is an emergency. It’s the #1 cause of disability and #5 killer in our community. Today, stroke is largely treatable if a stroke victim arrives at the hospital in time. Here are the symptoms:
Balance—do you have a sudden balance problem?
Eyes—do you have sudden blurred vision?
Face—do you have sudden numbness/droopiness on one side of your face?
Arm—do you have sudden numbness in one of your arms?
Speech—do you have sudden speech troubles?
Time—if you have any of the above, call 911 immediately.
