A stroke killed my guinea pig and one of my dogs. They both had to be put down afterward. π
thanks man. this is really helpful . best of luck to you and Jimmy.
ive had a stroke, im just waiting for the next one.
sigh…. tick tock.
fuckin’ life. i’m 23.
Poor guy π
vestibular disease, it ressembles a stroke…do not put dogs that go thru this to sleep ….they get over it with time…bring to a vet if not certain
Does he eat after. My dog had one nearly two weeks ago and has eaten very little.
I love your love for Mr. Jibi!
Thanks for this video. Super helpful and your a great dog owner. It was heart warming.
What Ican see of your dog in your video, it looks much more like Old Dog Vestibular Disease then like a stroke. You show exactly the symptoms for this disease. I have 2 old dogs who both have had it, more then once and they are as usualy does, recovered of it. There are vets who still do not know what this is and will call it a stroke, tell you there will be damage in the brain and recommend to put your dog asleep. The symptoms, although it looks scary, are no reason at all to put your dog asleep. A lot of dogs recover in a few days or a few weeks. With the right information videos like these can help people to understand when it happens to their dog. Allthough a lot of information websites will tell you it will only happen once, I know several older dogs who had 2 or 3 attacks over a period of two years. The dog is not in pain, but is confused because it lost its balance. You can find more information about Old Dog Vestibular Disease at veterinairy websites.
PLEASE!!!! some advice. my dog start having seizures today (4 so far, i suspect he had another early in the morning too). today is NOV 25th, 2020. tomorrow is thanksgiving so i canβt take him to the vet. what can i do???? please HELP!!!!!
My dog is 5 and he just had one! What would a vet do? Did you have to give your dog medicine? …So dogs continue to have these things?
Sorry to say this but ur dog is dieing
That is so sad. Please stop vaccinating your dog those shots are poison! And he needs a healthier dog food. Maybe more of a plant-based dog food should help him. I hope that he is in good spirit.
my dog turned 15 on 10-12-2018 and she going through the same thing
serrapeptase enzymes will help.
Does he have a brain tumor?
He needs aspirin.
Get well baby!!!
ThanΔ· you for sharing this. It so helped me with my dog.
thank you so much for posting, my cavalier king charles started drooling from the side of his lip, it was drooping, took him to vet, vet said mini stroke, should be fine.
poor dog π
Our dog had a stroke that lasted over an hour during the night. Because we live so far from a vet we could not help her driving to the doc. The vet said if a stroke lasts more than 30 minutes, the dog canβt recover. If the dogβs pupils are going up and down, thatβs a stroke. Sideway eye movement is not. We had to put her down 2 days ago. She was 13 and we loved her so much. Sad days ahead. What can we do?
You might want to look up "old dog syndrome"Β aka.Β = vestibular disease.Β It will look just like a stroke- but it’s not.Β I would get a 2nd and 3rd opinion from specialists in your area.Β Most dogs can recover from a stroke in two weeks.Β My dog just had a stroke and is now blind in her right eye.Β I know how agonizing this can be.Β Most people mistakenly "put down" their pets when they don’t have to.Β Dogs- like people – can recover fully.
Is he okay now
OMG!! My dog had a stroke today my dog keeps moving his head like that and he canβt walk
And if itβs bad tomorrow I might have to put him down πππππ
My dog had a stroke today. It’s heart breaking to see π he really isn’t doing that well.

cannabis oil saves… people take asprain when having stroke heart attack baby asprain for pets..
pets and human cancer and many sickness diseases cures cannabis oil and ground apricot seeds 1seed to every 10 lb body weight ..we been told lies they knew this all along doc and vet cant tell us or they go to jail..wake up world millions have found out the truth..search it
my 4 year old lab had small strokes and the eyes do the same thing as your dog. Hopefully mine can live a full life likes yours has
How is jibi now? My π had her first stroke.
Very important!!!
My 13 year old dog just had her first stroke a day ago and will now only barely eat and is constantly peeing herself. Is this normal?
Any advice would be great!!
Thanks for your video. My Dog just had a stroke he is 4 and its a result of poisoning from flea shampoo but I like where you say he is confused and you just have to comfort him that is what I am doing for my dog right now. I am sorry you lost your best friend I can tell how much you love him in your videos.
I am going through the exact same thing with my 15 year old schnauzer! so sad!
Have you taking him to the vet, because this is painful to watch. Im crying right now. I have two dogs and after they pass Im not getting another one because this is to heart breaking for me.
My dog is 14 and she just had her first stroke a few hours ago.
Thanks for posting this.. I hope we won’t have to deal with this ever but really educational and will look up old dog vestibular disease several people are talking about.
Thanks for this video, my dog had a stroke the day before last. He was very incontinent but that has seemed to have subsided. His head is less crooked as the day has gone on and your video given me hope that he may recover. I won’t give up on him.
Put my boy to sleep Easter Sunday after he had tiny strokes I’m assuming then one major one though at the time i had no knowledge of strokes for dogs he was 15 and he’s had cancer cut out of him afew months before the strokes he lived a good life and we love him to death.. but we had to put him to sleep, the way it all just happened felt that was the way it’s supposed to be.. I woke up 2 hours after falling asleep knowing it was going to be the end of his life but I was So calm like never before I used to stress out about his health every day. But on that night I lay next to him petting him telling him I loved him soooo much and how it was okay to go and then the next thing you know his face started clinching up and he went into a stroke it looked terrifying but I got my sister and we remained calm and pet him through it.. I think when it’s their time to go and you pay attention they tell you… the angels tell you.. you feel it in your soul.. i just am thankful my whole family was home because we couldn’t deal if it happened while we weren’t home.. if the time is right, you’ll know, just wanted to share.
Sorry to hear abput your dog man .My dog has CHF enlarged heart. Hes had a few strokes .the last one put him out of Commission . he cant walk no more . hes blind from one eye . sad , heart breaking. Hes a Stafford , he was a very athletic dog in his day. now were Just waiting for it to end. If he has another stroke it will probably do it .if not then ill put him to sleep if his condition gets worse .
Most people have one pet, something like this happens, they take them to the vet ( they believe what ever so called vet tells them) and they move on.I HAVE 8 healthy dogs.ALL 8 of them just in the past 6 months have been displaying these same symptoms.Loss of motor skills. right hind leg locking up, looking around lost and confused suddenly acting like an invalid,I THINK IT IS IN THE FOOD… most dont get to see this possibility as they only have one dog and take the vets word for it.. NO WAY all 8 dogs are suddenly having strokes — since then i have stopped buying their food at wall mart and they are all but one now starting to walk and act normal again.
What a beautiful old age to reach x obviously been well loved and had a good healthy life x
I think mine did. She became unresponsive after that for a while and very weak. Slowly she was more responsive. We thought she’d die. She was shaking and weak and her eyes were doing the same thing. Is it normal to act like that after one?
Great share thank you. My best 14 year old had a stroke a few months ago (not vestibular disease). I was so glad I was home at the time, vomiting and couldn’t stand, got him to the vet quickly and he got a shot of a steroid. Generally better but not the same. He is on a low dose of the steroid prednisolone (delta cortef) still and I have just noticed dark stools (blood in up intestine area apparently). Has anyone ever taken an old dog off prednisolone and just seen what happens?
you looks like shawn mendes at the first
Thank you-I’m trying to figure out what is going on with my 14 yr old
My girlfriends dog (who is a boxer) have been showing symptoms of one of her rear legs collapsing. She is showing trouble walking. It doesnt look like it was some kind of injury. Someone please help us out!
