It would help if you share the isbn number for those books. That would make searching easy. Thanks!

  15. Bella Santana on March 9, 2021 at 10:28 pm

Hello! Sorry if this is my mistake (probably haha since I couldn’t find anyone with the same question), but I cound’t find this video discription? So I cannot check the links you mentioned in the video. Could you help me?

  16. SourStrawberrys on March 9, 2021 at 10:29 pm

I’m actually using that children’s kanji book as well as trying to read the death note books in japanese. Some of the kanji is in the elementary book so I was thinking seeing the kanji used repeatedly in the manga would help me memorize it better. I feel like it is easier to remember when you see actual words repeatedly that they are used in.

  17. Swastik Pabharekar on March 9, 2021 at 10:32 pm

Your voice is same as Sanket Mhatre. He is a mimicry artist so he has many voices though but his original voice is same as yours.

  18. Rooiku on March 9, 2021 at 10:32 pm

Whats the book called? And there are many links in the description but I can’t find the one for the book

Through a stroke of luck, my University picked up a Japanese professor just in time for me to have time for Japanese 1-4. The written language is waaaayyyy harder than the spoken but once I got to the point I could recognize the hiragana (albeit not reproduce all of them yet) it became much easier. This is my third language so maybe that helps but I don’t think Japanese is quite as hard as they make it out to be outside of the new alphabets.

Hi, so I’m just learning to read write and speak Japanese. At the moment I am teaching myself and I am getting a bit lost because I’m not sure where to go after learning hiragana and katakana. I’m not sure how Japanese grammar works either and I just started learning jōjō kanji (recommended to me). I really need some guidances, I’m not sure where to go to learn how to write read and speak proper sentences. I’d love to know any recommendation on where to start. I’m 16 and have about maybe 5 hours of free time everyday.

  21. Roa on March 9, 2021 at 10:36 pm

Do you know if there is a sequel to this? From grades 7 and up?

  22. clayderman Richard on March 9, 2021 at 10:37 pm

  23. Ikhlas Mubaraq on March 9, 2021 at 10:39 pm

Dayuumm what a colourful book.. this is not fair adults foreigner get crappy black and white kanji text book and of course more expensive, then all those shougakkousei get this interesting book.. no wonder kanji were easy to them..

  24. lastninjaitachi on March 9, 2021 at 10:40 pm

I learned from Kanji from zero imo its the best way because you learn the readings and how to use them. Wanikani is good but I dont like neumonics because youre learning unnecessary information. I really like that book you showed as well, and if thats how they learn it thats how we should be learning it not taking shortcuts.

  25. Blacky Pnose on March 9, 2021 at 10:40 pm

Hi! I’m living in Japan as well and I’m struggling with kanji so much! Thanks for this video and I hope this book will help me, seems really nice and useful suggestion. Thanksss

  26. Mamoni Deka on March 9, 2021 at 10:40 pm

I like your videos and I want to buy that book but I am from India therefore I don’t buy

  27. Thomas Gerulus on March 9, 2021 at 10:40 pm

I bought the second edition. I feel it might be a bit difficult to read at the start, but it just looks so beautiful. I like colourful books. And I think this contains enough kanji to keep me busy for a while lol.

  28. Miri Kaku on March 9, 2021 at 10:42 pm

I love this book…buy the way, are you Scandinavian? (Norwegian or Swedish?) Scandinavian are usually good language learners and they also become very successful in Japanese, both written and spoken…

  29. Dean Allen on March 9, 2021 at 10:42 pm

For anyone searching Amazon.co.jp for this book I believe this is the 2nd Edition https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/4095018550/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 although I may be wrong?

Thank you for an interesting video! Could you please tell me what’s the difference between the 1st and the 2nd version?

  32. 3 Boulders Urban on March 9, 2021 at 10:45 pm

Hello, there is no link to the 1st book in the video description and the link to your store take to the AppStore (wix platform). Can you post the link to the book? A search in Amazon.jp didn’t return a useful return . Thanks

  33. Orafu Da on March 9, 2021 at 10:46 pm

Interesting video. 👍 🙂 I was learning Japanese years ago, and I also found and liked this book. Albeit, a bit too late to be used in my studies.
Btw, 小学館 (on the cover page) is Shōgakukan, the publisher of the book, and one of the largest in Japan. They publish dictionaries, manga, and literature.

  34. lєαƒα lєє on March 9, 2021 at 10:46 pm

The descriptions and explanations seem to be in Japanese only. Are those still easy to follow for a beginner? I don’t speak Japanese yet 🙈

  35. Alen X on March 9, 2021 at 10:46 pm

This is a book for people who know quite alot already, not for beginners.

  36. Emoji Chic on March 9, 2021 at 10:47 pm

What kanji book would you recommend for absolute beginners? The one in the video looks like you have to know some Japanese to use it. And do you know of any free resources for learning kanji?

  37. alex carter on March 9, 2021 at 10:48 pm

Amazing! First graders are reading the hiragana/katakana to that level already and learning kanji too? Have you seen how low-level school books are in the US? First graders here are barely reading Mary Had A Little Lamb.

  38. seherling on March 9, 2021 at 10:48 pm

The book looks amazing and fun to look at because of all the pictures! Wish I knew about the book when I first started learning
    Japanese
I currently use Kanji ABC by Andreas Foerster and Naoko Tamura which I also enjoy a lot.
Especially the system that is being used. The only problem is that the last edition was published somewhere in the 1990s and doesn’t contain the newly added Kanji from 2010. Otherwise it is a good book and recommend it!

  39. Swastik Pabharekar on March 9, 2021 at 10:49 pm

Hey, even an arabic or Persian book starts from Right side. And yes I know because Manga too starts from Right side and and I am learning Urdu(Persian script) and it is even written from Right to left.

  45. Vicente Suarez on March 9, 2021 at 10:54 pm

I’m learning japanese and english, your videos was helpful to me because i been search didactic book (not the ugly awful, courses books).

  46. RexusprimeIX on March 9, 2021 at 10:55 pm

Wait, "san" is the reading of "å±±"? I thought "san" was an honorific like "Fuji-san", like speaking respectfully about their iconic mountain. I mean it’s called "Mount Fuji" in English, not "Mount Fujisan".
