Goood grief … Cant these people just list the ingredients on the screen ?? Why not ??
No salt??
I just found your biscuit video I’m looking for a good recipe in your recipe do you use unsalted butter or salted butter that goes in the flour thanks again love the video
What if I have only regular flour to use ? How much baking powder ??

Try using half butter and half pure lard to get the Popeyes biscuit effect.
0:07 full proof?
Would 1 stick of butter be equivalent to 125 grams?
We grow the soft red winter wheat that is used for biscuits in southern Illinois. Good recipe.
So if you mix the Doug turning it 26 times it won’t taste like flour? What
Ooo weee!
It is a very basic basic dough but with very specific procedures I have done it several times the first time I was crying because they did not come out it was a disaster but in the end if it was possible in my country the biggest problem is to find buttermilk then we put white vinegar on milk giving a very good result … for each cup of milk three tablespoons of vinegar … greetings.
If I don’t have self rising flour can I use all purpose
i didn’t know biscuits were so easy to make
I made these for breakfast today. Hands down the easiest, quickest and yummiest biscuits I’ve ever baked. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe, Southern Living!
Meh. They look a little too pillsbury at the end. I want my biscuits more substantive.
I have never understood the butter grating. No one in the olden days did it and they had wonderful biscuits. Its a lot of unnecessary work not to mention a bunch of it stuck to the parchment paper when she tried to add it to her flour. Save yourself the trouble and just use the old fashioned pastry cutter.
Anybody else taught to make biscuits with Crisco? Also, I was never taught any measurments. I was just taught self-rising flour, an unholy amount of Crisco, and then buttermilk. Anybody else or is my family just weird?
Can I freeze them??
This recipe is how I usually make my scones.
I have tried a couple of different recipies and this one is the best.
King Arthur’s self rising flour is also a low protein soft winter wheat flour, very close to White Lily, and easier to find and order if White Lily is not available locally. The flour is the real secret to tender southern biscuits. I second baking in cast iron, and if you bake them close together they’ll rise higher.
You’re gorgeous.
😍😍❤️❤️💙💙made these and I’m hooked to this recipe .. this biscuit recipe is perfection! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Salt or non salted frozen butter?
YUMMY 😋 THANKS YOU GOODNESS 🌟❤️🖤💚🤎 FAMILY DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜 AWESOME BEAUTIFUL ✨ BIS…
Just goes to show you baking is more art than science. Another video on biscuits says you want a flour with more gluten, not less gluten. Yet another video says you never want to roll this, just a gentle press. I just throw my biscuits into the oven and pray. Sometimes my prayers are answered.
Thanks for the great recipe, I made it today not as good as you the shape but will definitely working on it and the taste just perfect
Grating the butter! That’s genius! Can’t wait to put it to the test.
No salt no baking powder? Just bttrmilk flour and butter?
She never mentioned not did the ingredients lisst it but I assume that it was unsalted butter. Am I correct?
Great recipe. Easy and delicious
Best homemade Biscuit recipe by far!
Ok no if you live In California ok throw some kale in there maybe some wheat grass that’s how it was done in the old days you know
Can you cook them in a cast iron skillet?
can i put sawdust on top of it
This recipe is da bomb!!! Omg! I can’t stop eating them!!! Keep it for days and reheat them in an oven toaster and they taste just as great!! Thank you!!!!
Her voice is sooo annoying
I made these thus morning. I grabbed the heavy cream out instead of the buttermilk only realizing my mistake after the biscuits were baking. But they turned out very good
This started out good, then it basically became an ad for a specific flour. I want a more general recipe with a full ingredient list for those of us who don’t want to buy a specific flour for just one recipe.
Cute Lady and Nicely-Made Biscuits.
