I think Honda makes great vehicles & engines, I don’t think they make very good transmissions (auto) & hence now typically outsource this component, smart, but says something about their overall engineering prowess as a company, period. I think Honda is a superior manufacturer to Toyota, even though they don’t make the sheer number of different vehicles – what they do make they continue to engineer & improve upon. Toyota is very hesitant to change & as a result whenever you buy a Toyota/Lexus while they may be @ the top of the chain in terms of reliability, they’re usually at least 1 if not 2 “generations” behind their competition in all other categories. I’ve had plenty of American cars that lasted a lonnnngggg time & for the most part aged gracefully- American trucks….Superior, period.

  14. Danilo Estrada on November 7, 2021 at 10:30 am

well honda cannot be made a taxi, obviously its poor quality, costly on gas consumption..very expensive parts and repairs…get that?

  15. louwar96 on November 7, 2021 at 10:30 am

Toyota, honda and mazda YES. Mitsubishi and Nissan NO. Especially mitsubishi, they’re trash

Scotty only likes soulless, boring cars. The Camry might be a great car, but its too dull for me.

    KAIZEN!

  22. demon6garra on November 7, 2021 at 10:34 am

Honda has a new 1.5L engine turbo, that legit gets gas in the oil. I literally smelled
The oil after a brand new change after 2000 miles and smelled like gasoline. Toyota is the only worthwhile brand overall.

  23. Harris N369 on November 7, 2021 at 10:36 am

4:17 Scotty, the hondajet is powered by IHI (which Honda has no part in terms of engineering or ownership), not Honda….

You know so much it blows my mind. Your voice is also like music to my ears. I just wanted to research different years of Prius and ended up watching a lot of different videos just because I like to hear what you have to say.

  30. Alex Pettit on November 7, 2021 at 10:40 am

Unfortunately these are 4 brands I’ll probably never buy again. They just don’t make any current cars I like. No powerful RWD manuals. No manual RWD sedans, no manual SUVs. Nothing for me.

  33. Dave Crupel on November 7, 2021 at 10:41 am

I wish Toyota would sell their Crowns here in America. I think those sedans would do pretty well here.

My family had Dodge Neon (died before 40K), ford focus (died before 60K), chevy Malibu (died around 90K) … Then I bought my first Honda 🙂 Honda civic (sold at 160K), Honda Element (@ 200K still running strong). Element have been everywhere in the US and Canada. All the way from Montreal to El Paso and all the way from Cape Cod to San Diego 🙂 it has been at extreme cold weather extreme hot weather. The newest member of the family is a Honda Fit 🙂 awesome little (and somehow spacious) car 🙂 I will not deviate from Japanese cars 🙂

  35. Aleksey Shuba on November 7, 2021 at 10:43 am

My uncles 2018 Pilot, almost fully loaded, after 60k miles, had to go to shop 4 or 5 times and still check engine lol ….. Honda is quality, yep, okay……

  36. Dana on November 7, 2021 at 10:45 am

Bought a CR-V, had 3-4 recalls over the couple years I owned it. The last recall I brought it in and was told the frame was rotted through and they gave me a cheque for less than half of what I paid just a few years earlier… Probably be the first and last Honda I buy, unfortunately.

  37. Ant Y on November 7, 2021 at 10:47 am

Mind every1 out there buying vehicles, Japanese’s cars their bodies r never built strong n rigid. A minor accident these cars become pizza ….

  38. Camila Medina Cubillos on November 7, 2021 at 10:49 am

    Lexus ❤️

  39. waxtheknob on November 7, 2021 at 10:53 am

17:21 You are showing the Nissan Altima reproducing the champagne glass test (it’s not the Lexus)

  40. John Moore on November 7, 2021 at 10:53 am

I kinda love how these four brands are made by two companies. I currently own my third and fourth Honda vehicles (make that fifth if you count my lawnmower). The previous two were totalled after being in wrecks (both instances the other driver was found at fault). I’m convinced that Hondas never die and can only be killed.

Props to their safety features too. A curtain airbag left me with a goose egg as opposed to what could have been a cracked skull. Word to the wise, just because the other guy is supposed to stop, doesn’t mean he will.

  41. Cindy Reid on November 7, 2021 at 10:55 am

Should have never sold my civic.

Not a HONDA! Lol. Fire your video editor, Scotty!

  44. Daniella Moreno on November 7, 2021 at 10:58 am

Great cars just avoid Honda Odyssey 2001-2003.
Transmission problems eventually the higher the miles.

  45. Jeff Pittman on November 7, 2021 at 10:59 am

About Kaizen (at about 33:40): my uncle worked at a Cadillac plant WAY back in the day at a station that involved assembling and installing dashboards. According to him, if they ran into a bad speedometer, they threw it into the reject bin and grabbed another one to put in the car. If they ran out of speedos during production, they just started installing those in the reject bin until they got a fresh supply of new ones. This car was considered the Standard of the World back then, the best GM could do.

When I was a kid in the 50s – 70s and we got a new family car, the first accessory we installed was a notepad and pen to ride along on the front seat where we jotted down the flaws we discovered as we got to know the new car. This was the to-do list for the next visit back to the dealer to ask for the problems to be fixed. It’s just how things worked then.

We marveled when we got our first Toyota. There was nothing to write down on the list.

  46. samuel fitzpatrick on November 7, 2021 at 11:00 am

Do you know Toyota sells the most cars in conflict zones around the world

  47. Blips N Chips on November 7, 2021 at 11:00 am

Rev your engines in these 4 brands!

  48. Bobby on November 7, 2021 at 11:00 am

I wrecked my Honda doing 120mph and only got a black eye.
Great vehicles but it was starting to knock so it was time anyway.

  49. Kevin Tomman on November 7, 2021 at 11:00 am

Yeah and somehow they cant make a vehicle that doesnt look like crap. I will take American Muscle.
