Episode 19- Stroke Survivor Brisa Alfaro

Brisa is a survivor of pons stroke and locked in syndrome. Essentially what that means is after her stroke, at the young age of 32, she was mentally present, but she could not physically move or speak. She overcame the odds and gained back full physical mobility and speech by what Brisa describes as “pinky moves”. Her story is an inspiration and worth listening to. Her new book Pinky Moves is currently being edited but you can connect with Brisa and get a free gift by going to pinkymoves.com

My intention is to create a network of resilient stroke survivors to empower and support other survivors through their struggles, encouraging them to rise like a phoenix. Thank you Brisa. I’ll get that email to you soon!

Her story never mentions time frame. How long was she in a coma? How long until she moved her pinky ?
