People with diabetes and prediabetes are at increased risk for stroke. Many don’t know this and need to better understand their risk as well as how to control risk factors like high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Taking steps like exercising every day, not smoking, limiting alcohol, eating a healthier diet, maintaining a healthy weight, and learning to manage your stress can have a significant impact on possibly preventing a future stroke.
