When Danish Atwal, MD, was 5 years old, she witnessed her grandfather suffered a heart attack. That incident inspired her to be a doctor after watching the heroic efforts of the doctors and nurses who brought her grandfather back to her. She sees patients with any type of heart disease. She went to school at Ross University School of Medicine and did her Cardiology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ. This Sacramento native loves to travel and being outdoors, hiking, biking, snowboarding when she has some spare time.
