Bert & Colleen, Stroke Survivors & MWH Volunteers
Bert and Colleen are stroke survivors who regularly volunteer their time at Mary Washington Hospital to help other stroke survivors and their families. On their rounds, they educate stroke patients about life after stroke and how to reduce the risk of recurrent stroke. MWH Stroke Program Coordinator Eleanor Redmond says Bert and Colleen play a valuable role in the nationally-recognized Stroke Team at MWH.
